Some movies are like a time machine, you enjoy the mood, and after about one and half hour you can go back 2010. So that happened with My One and Only, tragical-comedy about a lady like woman, in 1953, that gets sick and tired of her cheating husband, a famous band musician that provides her an extravagant life style, decides to hit the road in search of a new defray husband, without thinking how that would affect her to teenager boys’ life, who she loves in her own way, and drags with her in this adventure across America – in a baby blue convertible Cadillac. Now that we have seen on the catwalks a certain 50’s new look skirts, cat eye sunnies and cropped tops, worthwhile watching for inspiration.

Alguns filmes são como uma máquina do tempo, você apreciar o “clima”, e após uma hora e meia você pode voltar a 2010. Assim que aconteceu com o My One and Only, uma trágica-comédia sobre uma verdadeira lady, que em 1953, fica cansada de seu marido traidor, um músico de uma banda famosa – que lhe patrocina um estilo de vida extravagante, e decide pegar a estrada em busca de um novo marido que patrocine seus gastos, sem pensar como isso irá afetar a vida de seus filhos adolescentes, a que ela ama do seu jeito, e arrasta com ela nesta aventura pelos Estados Unidos – num Cadillac conversível azul-bebê. Agora que temos visto nas passarelas uma certa inspiração nas saias new look dos anos 50, ocúlos de gatinho e tops cropped, vale a pena assistir para se inspirar.

After the success of Karl Lagerfeld’s first short film, Remember Now, to promote Chanel’s Cruise Collection 2011, it’s time for a new adventure. This time two belles filles, Dree Hemingway and Abbey Lee, run around a hotel after a Shopping Fever – that gives name to the film. They drag around to their game Baptist Giabiconi. The movie was edited to look like a trailer of a full length movie that doesn’t exist.

Desta vez as duas belles filles, Dree Hemingway e Abbey Lee, correm pelos corredores de um hotel depois de uma Shoppping Fever – que dá nome ao filme. Elas arrastam em torno de seu jogo Giabiconi Batista. O filme foi editado para parecer um trailer de um longa-metragem que não existe.

Do you know what TriBeCa means? Triangle Below Canal. This neighborhood in lower Manhattan now hosts one of the most prominent film festivals in the world. The Tribeca Festival’s line-up offers independent films, documentaries and short films. V Magazine Blog features a 25 must-see list for this year’s edition, and I must confess: I really want to see some of them.

Essa região em lower Manhattan recebe um dos festivais de cinema mais importantes do mundo, o Tribeca Film Festival. Na progamação do festival – filmes, documentários e curtas. A V Magazine Blog fez uma listinha dos filmes imperdíveis dessa edição. Confesso que fiquei louca para ver vários da lista.

Same Old Chic Revolutionary Road

I might be a year and a few months delay on the premier of the movie Revolutionary Road, but only today I had the pleasure of watching this cinematographic master piece. Living an empty life in the suburb, and when facing to be what they despise, Frank and April Wheeler, decide to move to Paris in search of a more lively future. This movie captures the inside of existential problems, and even you might have felt this way before. Based in deep dialogues Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio’s performance are absolutely impressive. The costume design, by Albert Wolsky, is worth of the word impeccable! The look at the beach scene seems to me to be much fitted on the latest trends.

Posso estar atrasada em um ano e alguns meses na estréia do filme Foi Apenas Um Sonho, mas só hoje tive o prazer de assistir essa obra prima cinamatográfica. Vivendo uma vida vazia, no subúrbio, e, diante de ser o que eles desprezam, Frank e April Wheeler, decidem se mudar para Paris em busca de um futuro mais vivaz. Este filme captura problemas existenciais que até  mesmo você pode ter sentido antes. Baseada em diálogos profundos entre Kate Winslet e Leonardo DiCaprio, o desempenho da dupla é absolutamente impressionantes. O figurino, por Albert Wolsky, vale a pena usar a palavra impecável! O look  da cena da praia parece um editorial com as últimas tendências.
