Karl Lagerfeld está sempre envolvido em um milhão de coisas, seu projeto mais recente foi uma série de ilustrações para o jornal francês Le Figaro notícias mostrando a evolução dos costumes e da moda ao longo do século 20.
These fun illustrations are by the Romanian artist Saul Steinberg, best known for his life long collaboration with the New Yorker magazine. The work of the artist produced between 1940 and 1950 are now on display in the Pinacoteca of São Paulo. Of course the distance prevents me from going to exhibition in personal, unfortunately.

Essas ilustrações divertidas são do artista romeno Saul Steinberg, mais conhecido pela sua colaboração com a revista americana New Yorker. As obras do artista produzidas entre 1940 e 1950 estão em exposição na Pinacoteca de São Paulo. Logicamente a distância me impede de poder conferir a exposição pessoalmente, infelizmente.

Designer Fabio Rex illustrated infographics showing how to prepare the classic drinks, besides of being so beautiful the illustrations can be used to decorate the walls of your house, next to your drink tray, what do you think? I just could not figure out how to buy the illustrations.

Photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin shot Kate Moss for Balmain’s AW 2010/11 campaign, at the same time they also filmed this video of her, which premiered on Nowness. The short is called “Everglade,” just like the song from Antony and the Johnsons that provides the soundtrack. The video shows Kate being caressed by cartoon snakes, trapped in a cartoon whirlpool, and finally entangled in a cartoon network of roots. Jo Ratcliffe was responsible for the illustration and animation, intended to be, according to van Lamsweerde, “a half horror and half Disney”.

Os fotógrafos Inez van Lamsweerde e Vinoodh Matadin capturaram Kate Moss para a campanha de Outono/Inverno 2010/11 da Balmain, e ao mesmo tempo eles também filmaram esse vídeo da modelo, que estreou no Nowness. O curta se chama “Everglade”, assim como a música do Antony and the Johnsons, fornece a trilha sonora. O vídeo mostra Kate sendo acariciada por desenhos de cobras, presa em um redemoinho, e, finalmente, enrolada em uma rede de raizes. Jo Ratcliffe foi responsável pelas ilustrações e animação, que pretende ser, de acordo com van Lamsweerde, “uma uma mistura de filma de horror e filme da Disney”.
