Same Old Chic Fuori Salone {Old News}

April was a month of excitement in Milan, with many events in the official calendar of the Salone del Mobile, and many more in the unofficial calendar, our fellow friend Fuori Salone.

The Botanical Garden of Brera received two installations, collabortions between designer Paola Navonae and the Italian company specialized in Murano glass Barovier&Toso, and the architect Zaha Hadid and Citco, a company whose particularity is to create marble surfaces.

In,  the same friendly neighborhood of Brera the French Hermès presented wall coverings and divisions created by the Japanese architect Shigeru Ban.

In another part of town, via Tortona, a collective of Brazilian jewelry designers showed their unique creations. For the Collect 16 designers submitted pieces, among which I would highlight the exuberant work of Suzane Farias.

Abril foi um mês de alvoroço em Milão, com muitos eventos no calendário oficial do Salone del Mobile, e muitos mais no calendário extra oficial, o nosso conhecido Fuori Salone.

O Horto Botânico de Brera recebeu duas instalações, as colaborações entre a designer Paola Navonae e a empresa italiana especializada em vidro de Murano Barovier&Toso, e a arquiteta Zaha Hadid e a Citco, empresa cuja particularidade está em realizar superfícies em mármore.

No mesmo simpático bairro de Brera a francesa Hermès apresentou revestimentos para parede e divisões criados pelo arquiteto japonês Shigeru Ban.

Em outra parte da cidade, via Tortona, um coletivo de designers de jóias brasileiro exibiu suas criações únicas. O Collect apresentou peças de 16 designers, entre os quais eu ressaltaria o exuberante trabalho de Suzane Farias.

The exhibition dedicated to Grace Kelly, that recently passed by the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, lands now in Brazil. Featuring the princess’ personal objects, fabulous clothes, ready-to-wear and couture, original jewelry and accessories such as the Hermès bag that bears her name.
